Four suspects, including alleged syndicate head Rishad Abdulrahim Sheikh, have been detained for 13 days following their arraignment at the JKIA Law Courts on October 7th. They are linked to a major cocaine trafficking syndicate operating through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

• The arrests by the Multi-Agency Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) occurred between October 5th and 7th, 2025.
• Key suspects include Rishad Abdulrahim Sheikh and logistics coordinator Muamar Mutua Mohammed.
• The local arrests are connected to Jesse Da Mata Dos Santos, a British national detained in London with 20 kilograms of cocaine, believed to have direct ties to Rishad Sheikh.
• Detectives recovered two packages suspected to contain narcotics and seven mobile phones during the operation.
