Coffee sales at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE) reached Sh35.6 billion in the 2024/2025 financial year, an increase of Sh10.1 billion from the previous year, despite a drop in sales volume. This growth was attributed to better prices, particularly for premium grades.

• 673,844 bags of coffee were traded at the NCE in 2024/2025, down from 693,610 bags in the prior year.
• Sales for Grade AA coffee increased to 25 percent of total sales (from 19 percent), while Grade AB rose to 37 percent (from 5 percent).
• Alliance Berries Ltd was the top broker, trading over 247,166 bags worth Sh13.2 billion.
• NCE Chief Executive Officer Lisper Ndung’u urged farmers to boost production of quality grades to maximize returns.
• Leading buyer, Ibero Kenya, purchased 179,110 bags for Sh9.3 billion.
