• Super Metro announced the new service on Monday, October 13, via social media, with the launch date yet to be specified.
• The company, which operates over 500 buses and serves approximately 170,000 Kenyans daily, seeks to tap into an expanding market where 86 percent of Nairobi residents own smartphones and 58 percent have used ride-hailing services.
• Super Metro is the first matatu sacco to venture into the digital taxi business, building on its established logistics services including parcel and charter services.
