Kenya Airways (KQ) has increased and upgraded flights to Kisumu International Airport to meet high travel demand ahead of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s burial on Sunday.

KQ added three extra flights and upgraded five others on the Nairobi–Kisumu route between Friday and Monday.
The national carrier stated that two additional flights, KQ656 and KQ658, will depart for Kisumu on Friday, and an extra flight, KQ650, on Saturday.
A return flight from Nairobi to Kisumu is currently priced at about Sh25,160 due to the surge in demand.
