The Kenyan government has announced a validation exercise for youths shortlisted for the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) funds, following President William Ruto's directive. The exercise, commencing on October 24, will take place at the constituency level for shortlisted candidates.

• Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Fikirini Jacobs announced that pre-selected applicants should attend in their sub-counties with their original National Identification Cards and pre-selection messages.
• NYOTA is a five-year World Bank-funded program addressing youth unemployment, with Ksh20 billion allocated to target 800,000 youths.
• The disbursement of funds is scheduled to begin on November 4.
