The Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) has denied holding Kenyan activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo, who disappeared in Kampala on October 1. This denial comes in response to a habeas corpus court order after the Uganda National Police (UNP) also denied their custody.

Colonel Silas Kamanda of the UPDF declared that searches of their detention centers found no record of the activists.
The habeas corpus order, issued by Justice Peter Kinobe, demanded the government produce the Kenyans within seven days.
A witness reported being abducted alongside them at a petrol station in Kireka township on the day they disappeared.
