The Kenya Meteorological Department (Met) has confirmed the start of the October-November-December short rains season, warning of heavy rainfall across numerous parts of Kenya beginning Thursday, October 23. The rainfall is expected to intensify and spread across various regions, including Nairobi, with residents urged to take precautionary measures against potential floods and landslides.
- Rainfall is expected to intensify to more than 30mm in 24 hours in some areas.
