President William Ruto has announced significant leadership changes within Kenyan parastatals, revoking the appointment of former Chief of Defence Forces, General Julius Karangi, from the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) board.

• Ali Wario will replace Karangi as non-executive chairperson of the NCPD board for three years, effective October 24, 2025.
• Former Kipkelion East Member of Parliament, Kirui Limo, was appointed non-executive chairperson of the Gambling Regulatory Authority, replacing Jane Mwikali Makau.
• Makau has been reassigned as non-executive chairperson of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority board for a three-year term, also effective October 24, 2025.
