Former Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi has demanded the immediate release of two Kenyan activists, Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo, allegedly abducted in Uganda. Their disappearance at a facility reportedly used for torture has sparked diplomatic tension and outrage, with Havi accusing both the Ugandan and Kenyan governments of silence and negligence.

• Njagi and Oyoo were reportedly arrested approximately one month ago while attending an event related to politician Bobi Wine’s presidential campaign, and are believed to be held by Uganda’s military intelligence at a non-gazetted facility in Kampala.
• A Ugandan High Court had ordered authorities to produce the activists, but the government claimed no record of them in official detention facilities.
• Havi criticized the Kenyan government for failing to protect its citizens abroad and violating Article 104 of the East African Community Treaty, warning of an emerging "trinity of dictatorship" in the region.
