Former Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Social Health Authority (SHA), Robert Ingasira, and four co-accused have been released on Ksh 500,000 bail each in a Ksh17.5 million fraud case. They were arraigned on Thursday, October 30, denying accusations of conspiring to defraud the authority through falsified medical claims.

• The accused face ten counts, including conspiracy to defraud, misappropriation of funds, abuse of office, and falsification of health information.
• The alleged scheme involved submitting false medical claims from a clinic in Homa Bay County between October 2024 and March 2025.
• Ingasira was among nine suspects arrested, and he served as acting SHA CEO from November 12, 2024, until April 2025, following the suspension of Elijah Wachira.
