President William Ruto embarked on a four-day visit to Western Kenya counties, launching various development projects, opening new facilities, and inspecting ongoing works. His tour aimed to accelerate development in the region, which he noted has lagged behind.

• The President opened the 124-bed Butere Level Four Hospital in Kakamega and announced a KSh1 billion allocation to complete the Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital.
• He launched construction for the 22km Malava-Samitsi-Navakholo road and the 34km Turbo-Sikhendu road, which will cost KSh3.6 billion.
