A high school principal in Narok County has been suspended due to suspected exam malpractice during the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams. This comes as a Kajiado County private boarding school, which topped the 2024 KCSE national exams, faces a probe over suspected irregularities.

The Narok County Director of Education Apollo Apuko confirmed the principal's suspension, stating the Deputy Principal will oversee exams.
The Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba confirmed isolated malpractices, with individuals arrested and disciplinary action pending.
The Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Ingonga pledged to prosecute anyone involved in exam malpractice, regardless of position.
CS Ogamba also assured that helicopters are being used to deliver exam papers to areas affected by heavy rains, including Elgeyo Marakwet, which experienced landslides.
