The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has fully transitioned to a new payment system called KWSPay, replacing the old eCitizen platform. This upgraded system aims to provide a more seamless and flexible payment experience for visitors and tourism stakeholders.
- All transactions will now include a monthly dollar exchange rate based on Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) rates, facilitation fees, administrative fees, and a 5 percent gateway fee.
 - Developed by KWS, this system introduces multiple payment options including M-Pesa, bank cards, bank transfers, and an eWallet.
 - KWS Director General Prof. Erustus Kanga stated the system enhances transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for conservation fee payments.
