Rigathi Gachagua's Democracy for the Citizens' Party (DCP) has launched a new youth-led strategy to garner support from young Kenyans ahead of the 2027 General Elections. This initiative, unveiled on Wednesday, November 5, at the DCP headquarters in Nairobi, aims to transform Kenyan politics by empowering the youth.

DCP's Youth Leader Wanjiku Thiga announced a Youth Training Manual, referred to as the 'political bible' for young aspirants.
The party plans to train and support over 300 young aspirants, establish youth offices in all 47 counties, mobilize at least three million youth votes, and launch university and college chapters.
Thiga called for waiving nomination fees for youth aspirants and emphasized enhancing gender equality, noting that only 12 out of 1,450 elected MCAs in Kenya are young women.
