Super Typhoon Fung-wong, locally named "Uwan", slammed into the northern Philippines, resulting in at least two fatalities and forcing the evacuation of over one million people. The typhoon caused widespread damage, cutting off towns and leaving residents to assess the aftermath on Monday morning.

• Over one million people were evacuated before Fung-wong made landfall in Dinalungan, Aurora province on Sunday night.
• The Civil Defence office reported at least two deaths and two injuries due to the typhoon.
• Aurora vice-governor Patrick Alexis Angara stated that at least three towns were inaccessible due to landslides and broken roads, with over 400 flights cancelled since Sunday.
