During the opening of the Africa Zone V Regional Anti-Doping Organisation (RADO) seminar in Nairobi, Secretary of Administration in the State Department of Sports Evans Achoki assured the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) of continued government support for its anti-doping efforts. He highlighted Kenya’s strong performance at the Tokyo World Championships and emphasized the need for robust anti-doping systems to protect the country's sporting reputation.
- Kenya finished second overall at the Tokyo World Championships with 11 medals (seven gold, two silver, and two bronze).
- The two-day seminar, held in partnership with Kenya’s anti-doping body, SuperSport, and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), brought together 21 Doping Control Officers (DCOs) from nine Zone V countries.
- Former ADAK Chief Executive Officer Sarah Shibutse underscored the importance of investing in training for DCOs to uphold sporting integrity.
