The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) will lead nationwide commemorations for the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims on Sunday, November 19, 2023, with the main event in Eldoret. The day honors those who have lost their lives or been injured in road crashes, under the theme "Lost Talents."

• Kenya recorded 3,890 road fatalities between January 1 and October 22, 2025, a rise from 3,805 in the same period of 2024.
• Principal Officer for Corporate Communication Antony Nyongesa from NTSA highlighted that pedestrians remain the most vulnerable road users, accounting for 1,460 deaths.
• The NTSA urges heightened vigilance as the festive season approaches to prevent a spike in road accidents, emphasizing personal responsibility for both motorists and pedestrians.
