- Kenya Taekwondo Federation (KTF) President Major (Rtd) Suleiman Sumba highlighted the country's readiness in terms of organization, technical expertise, and infrastructure, following endorsement by World Taekwondo officials.
- A 16-member national team, comprising eight boys and eight girls, is currently in high-performance training and will compete in the African Series Championships in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire as a final preparation.
