The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has issued a 30-day ultimatum for importers to collect brown sugar stored at the Loitoktok Customs Warehouse, or face public auction in January 2026. This follows a similar notice regarding uncollected goods at other facilities.

• If unclaimed, the brown sugar will be auctioned between January 5 and 9, 2026, via an online portal.
• Chief Manager Michael Watii of the Customs and Border Control Department issued the notice dated November 14.
• Interested buyers can view the sugar at the warehouse on December 29-30, 2025.
