The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is advocating for deeper regional economic integration to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Great Lakes Region. This call was made during a High-Level Segment in Kinshasa, held alongside the 9th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR).

• More than 250 officials, private-sector representatives, and development partners attended the event.
• DRC Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka urged member states to prioritize practical cooperation, emphasizing investments in infrastructure, trade, and employment.
• Discussions highlighted critical cross-border transport corridors, including the Lobito Corridor, the Tanzania–Burundi–DRC railway line, and the DRC–Uganda road corridor.
• Development partners, including the AU, EU, and UN, reaffirmed their support, stressing the importance of economic diplomacy and private-sector investment.
• Minister of Regional Integration Floribert Anzuluni called for stronger monitoring and the institutionalization of the High-Level Segment for future editions.
