Kenyan security agencies have successfully foiled 40 planned terror attacks over the last three years, marking a significant period of security stabilization under President William Ruto’s administration. This success is attributed to unprecedented inter-agency intelligence coordination and strategic investments in surveillance and urban safety.

• I.E.D. attacks have fallen by 55%, and the Kenya-Somalia frontier has recorded its lowest level of militant movement in seven years.
• The gains are a result of coordinated efforts between the National Intelligence Service (NIS), the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
• 1,899 surveillance cameras and 281 Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras have been deployed across 664 sites, contributing to a 13–18% decline in urban violent crime.
