Principal Secretary for Interior Raymond Omollo has defended the implementation of digital IDs, stating they will be crucial in criminal investigations and in combating the growing challenge of anonymity. He made these remarks during the Third Forum on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence on November 25, 2025.

• PS Omollo emphasized that secure digital identity solutions will protect user privacy while enabling the lawful tracing of malicious activities without compromising civil liberties.
