The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) announced that the government will construct 720 affordable housing units on the recovered Ksh500 million Hobley Estate in Mombasa County.

The EACC CEO, Abdi Mohamud, confirmed the 4.8-acre estate has been cleared for construction.
This project is part of Ksh1.4 billion in assets recovered by the EACC in Mombasa County over the past three years.
The commission is currently pursuing the recovery of approximately Ksh10.3 billion worth of assets, following a recent recovery of a 17-acre parcel of Karura Forest land valued at Ksh2.8 billion.
