The Kenyan government has launched a new inquiry into the KUSCCO Housing Co-operative Society Limited (KHC) following concerns from members about its management and governance. This investigation will scrutinize the co-operative's operations, financial practices, and the conduct of past and present management committees.

• The inquiry was authorized in a gazette notice under sections 58 and 73 of the Co-operative Societies Act (Cap. 490).
• It will be led by Assistant Commissioner for Co-operative Development Fondo Nzovu and Senior Co-operative Auditor John Kariuki Kinyanjai.
• The inquiry seeks to address historical criticism of governance and financial oversight at KUSCCO, which faced Ksh15 billion financial challenges earlier in the year.
