The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has issued a 30-day ultimatum for owners to collect goods, including high-end vehicles, from various Container Freight Stations (CFSs) in Mombasa or face auction.
- Over a dozen vehicle makes, including Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, are set for auction.
- The auctions will occur between January 5 and 9, 2025 (Mombasa) and January 5 and 9, 2026 (Nairobi) via KRA's online portal.
- Other items to be auctioned include bags of used clothing, household items, and oil and gas tools, with viewings scheduled for December 29 and 30, 2025.
- Similar auctions for uncollected goods are also planned at the Inland Container Depot and bonded facilities in Nairobi.
