The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the Kenya Red Cross launched a road safety cyclist competition titled "Share the Road, Save Lives" at the Nakuru Showground on Sunday, November 30, 2025. This event aimed to promote responsible road sharing and highlight safe road use practices among all users amidst rising road fatalities.

Road deaths in Kenya reached 4,195 between January and November 13, 2025, a 2.9 percent increase from the previous year.
The event provided tips for drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and boda boda riders, including wearing helmets, obeying traffic rules, and avoiding phone use.
The NTSA plans to expand this competition to other towns to support its goal of halving road deaths by 2030.
