The announcement came two months after NEMA threatened to close over 100 clubs, bars and restaurants following a series of noise complaints...
✨ Key Highlights
The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has ordered the immediate closure of nine club lounges and restaurants across Nairobi, Kilifi, and Kiambu counties due to excessive noise pollution. These establishments failed to comply with previous environmental restoration orders.
- Among the closed venues are Kettle House and Boba Drinks and Café in Kilimani, Speedy’s Bar and Restaurant in Kilifi, and Emirates Lounge in Pipeline Area.

- This action follows a September 18, 2025 public notice on noise pollution control and a September 22, 2025 threat to close 107 clubs across Kenya due to widespread complaints.
