Deputy President Kithure Kindiki urged Kenyans to leverage their diverse cultures for peace, unity, and development during the 14th Marsabit Lake Turkana Cultural Festival in Loiyangalani, Marsabit County. He emphasized culture's role in building families and empowering youth.

DP Kindiki announced that the government has allocated Ksh1 billion for last-mile electricity connectivity in Marsabit County, benefiting 6,100 homesteads.
He issued a warning to bandits terrorizing Marsabit County, citing recent livestock theft, and ordered security agencies, including the Kenya Defense Forces and Police, to arrest criminals.
The festival, themed "Celebrating Our Diversity, Strengthening Our Unity," brought together 14 culturally vibrant communities, showcasing Marsabit as one of Kenya's most diverse counties.
