The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has disputed a report by the Institute for Social Accountability (TISA) claiming Kenya loses Ksh.3 billion daily to corruption, stating the figure lacks scientific basis.

• EACC CEO Abdi Mohamud asserted that the Ksh.3 billion figure by TISA, and a previous Ksh.2 billion claim by former president Uhuru Kenyatta, are unverified and advise against misrepresenting figures that hurt Kenya's global image.
• The TISA report, released on a Monday, alleges that corruption in public procurement costs Kenya Ksh.3 billion daily, or Ksh.1.1 trillion annually.
• The EACC recovered Ksh.3.4 billion worth of assets and averted the loss of Ksh.16.5 billion in public assets in the past year, while the Transparency International 2024 index ranks Kenya 121st out of 180 countries with a score of 32 out of 100.
• The International Anti-Corruption Day event, themed "Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity," featured calls to action from EACC Chairperson Dr. David Oginde, Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, and British High Commission Chargé d’Affaires Ed Barnett.
