Government Marks Anti-Corruption Day as EACC Recovers Sh3.4 Billion in Assets - December 2025
On International Anti-Corruption Day, Kenya is grappling with the devastating effects of corruption on its national development. The government's new strategy to combat corruption was discussed by Judith Pareno, the PS State Department for Justice, Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs. In its annual report, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) announced the recovery of significant assets totaling Sh3.4 billion. The EACC is also advocating for legal reforms to bolster its authority in the fight against corruption across Kenya. Discussion continues on whether corruption can be entirely eradicated in the country.
