Mombasa County has issued a directive requiring all event organizers to inform the disaster management committee about upcoming public events. This measure, announced by Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, aims to enhance public safety and security during the festive season.

All public events, including concerts, festivals, religious gatherings, and sports events, are covered by the directive.
Organizers must notify the county disaster management committee no later than three days before the event.
Notifications can be submitted in person at the County Disaster Management Team office in Shimanzi or via email.
Non-compliant organizers will face personal liability, both civilly and criminally, for any incidents.
