A key suspect has been arrested in Busia in connection with the brutal murder of Seth Nyakio Njeri, whose body was discovered on October 14, 2024, in Thika town. Detectives from the homicide unit had been tracking the individual who went into hiding after the heinous act.

• Nyakio, a 23-year-old Zetech University graduate, was found lifeless with signs of assault and strangulation.
• The arrest took place near the Kenya–Uganda border where the suspect was working in a cereal distribution shop.
• An ex-boyfriend was initially considered a possible suspect in the murder investigation.
