• The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) believes increased capacity, supportive policies, and stronger bilateral trade agreements are crucial for attracting higher cargo volumes and improving efficiency.
• Sports CS Salim Mvurya confirmed existing expansion plans, and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula highlighted the port's potential to significantly contribute to Kenya's Gross Domestic Product.
• Beyond the port, KNCCI Mombasa branch Chairman Abud Jamal encouraged investment in the blue economy, particularly fisheries and aquaculture, and renewed calls for the full implementation of open skies policies to boost tourism.
