The withdrawal, confirmed by Dapash's lawyer on Wednesday, December 17, was made without explanation, though reports suggest his concerns may have been addressed.

• Meitamei Olol Dapash had accused the camp of obstructing the vital wildebeest migration corridor between the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Serengeti National Reserve.
• The lawsuit also questioned the legality and environmental compliance of the camp’s establishment, naming the Narok County Government and the National Environment Management Authority among other respondents.
• The Ritz-Carlton Safari Camp Lodge is situated within a designated low-use tourism investment zone as per the Maasai Mara National Reserve Management Plan (2023–2032), a point emphasized by KWS in its defense.
