- Up to December 16, current year exports reached $1.968 billion, a 21 per cent increase from $1.63 billion recorded last year.
- The Coffee Board of India data shows export earnings in rupee terms rose 26 per cent to ₹17,106 crore.
- While export earnings have surged, shipment volumes declined by 6 per cent to 3.66 lakh tonnes, partly attributed to some European buyers seeking cheaper origins.
- India is the seventh largest coffee producer globally and the fifth largest exporter, with Italy (18 per cent) being the top destination.
