Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has issued a stern warning against the harassment of Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers, vowing the government will protect rangers from attacks. He emphasized that those who threaten or attack KWS officers will face the full force of justice, while also urging rangers to uphold human rights.

• The warning was issued during the KWS cadet pass-out held in Manyani on December 19, 2025.
• Kindiki challenged the 147 cadets to defend wildlife and address emerging threats from human-wildlife interaction.
• The government is implementing a world-class national wildlife protection framework, including using modern technology and establishing a national wildlife forensic and intelligence center to combat poaching.
