Kenya is poised to benefit from the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) new US$1 billion Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Development initiative, aligning with Nairobi's goals to implement AI across key sectors like digital public infrastructure, health, and agriculture.

• The UAE's US$1 billion AI for Development initiative was launched at the G20 Summit by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
• Kenya recently launched its National AI Strategy 2025–2030, requiring an estimated KSh152 billion (approximately US$1.19 billion) for implementation.
• The initiative, managed by the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX), aims to bolster economic and social development in Africa, mirroring Kenya’s national priorities for AI integration.
