Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi has confirmed the county's readiness to host the annual Kimalel Goat Auction and Cultural Festival from December 20th to 22nd, 2025. This year's festival will feature expanded activities over three days, culminating in the famous goat auction presided over by President William Ruto.

• The festival will begin with a 1.5 KM wheelchair race and a 2 KM race for individuals 50 years and above, followed by water sports, motorsport, and a youth night.
• The second day includes an interdenominational service, a cultural festival, and trade fair exhibitions to showcase investment opportunities in Baringo.
• The goat auction will allow attendees to purchase naturally salted goats for the Christmas and New Year festivities, with an online platform called E-farmer available for remote orders.
