The Kenyan government has extended a dusk-to-dawn curfew in 13 locations within Marsabit County for an additional 30 days due to persistent security concerns.

• The curfew, effective from December 23, will run from 6:30 pm as the areas are designated as "security-disturbed and dangerous."
• Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen announced the extension, citing ongoing threats to residents and property.
• Residents in the affected areas, including Hillo Gorgora and Hillo Orofa, are required to surrender all firearms immediately.
