Kenya has initiated steps to bolster its defence manufacturing capabilities through a high-level visit to Egypt by officials from the Directorate of National Security Industries (DNSI), aiming to foster bilateral defence industry cooperation.

The delegation, led by Director General Major General Faustino Lobaly, toured key Egyptian defence manufacturing establishments.
The visit, on December 20, included sites such as the Arab International Optronics (AIO) Company and the Engineering Industries Complex.
Engagements also took place at the Ministry of Military Production (MoMP) within the framework of the Kenya–Egypt Joint Military Cooperation Agreement.
