Former Lugari Member of Parliament, Enoch Kibunguchy, has passed away at the Eldoret Hospital at the age of 72 after a prolonged illness. Kibunguchy, who succeeded the late Cyrus Jirongo, was known for his dedication to education and served multiple terms in parliament.

• Enoch Kibunguchy served as Lugari MP from 2003 to 2007, and later as Likuyani MP for two consecutive terms between 2013 and 2022.
• He held senior roles at the Ministry of Health, Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, and Coast General Hospital.
• Current Lugari MP, Nabii Nabwera, praised Kibunguchy's humility, integrity, and commitment to education, highlighting his role in establishing several schools.
• His death follows that of his predecessor, Cyrus Jirongo, who passed away on December 13 in a road accident.
