The Ministry of Education has announced a second opportunity for Grade 10 learners to review their senior school placements between Tuesday, January 6, and Friday, January 9, for those dissatisfied with previous results. This follows an initial review period where 211,636 out of 355,457 applications were approved.
- Approximately 88 percent of all learners have been placed according to their original or revised selections.
- Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba stated that 20,000 applications were received for schools like Alliance High School, Kenya High School, and Mangu High School, which have an average capacity of 500 slots.
- President William Ruto confirmed the release of over Ksh44 billion in capitation funds, ensuring Ksh22,000 for every student before they report to school starting January 12.
