The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has cancelled the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results for 1,180 candidates due to examination irregularities. This decision follows investigations that concluded this month.

• A total of 1,180 candidates had their results cancelled, a significant increase from the 840 cancellations in 2024.
• Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba announced the cancellations during the release of the 2025 KCSE results in Eldoret.
• The cancellations were made in accordance with the KNEC (Handling of Examination Irregularities) Rules of 2015, Legal Notice No. 132 of 2015.
