The intercept, which also included a vehicle, prevents an estimated Ksh.7.42 million in tax losses.

  • A total of 20 drums, each with a capacity of 250 litres, were recovered after lorries suspected of transporting the ethanol had already departed the yard.
  • The KRA acted on a public tip-off, leading to the discovery of the offloaded ethanol.
  • A Toyota Fielder, valued at Ksh.1.8 million, was impounded at the scene and was fitted with suspected tracking system jammers, bringing the total value of seized goods to Ksh.16.26 million.
