A residential building under construction in Karen, Nairobi, collapsed, killing two people and injuring several others. The National Construction Authority (NCA) attributed the collapse to a formwork system failure during concrete casting.

• The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 4:30 p.m. at Plot No. 12882/197 along Ngong View Lane.
• Maurice Oketch, Executive Director of the NCA, stated that the project was not registered with the authority, a mandatory requirement in Kenya.
• The collapse resulted in two fatalities, two critically injured, and seven others with minor injuries.
