President William Ruto has nominated Francis Meja, former Director-General of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), to be the next Chairperson of the Public Service Commission (PSC). This nomination, announced by Chief of Staff Felix Koskei, has been sent to the National Assembly for vetting and approval.

• Meja is currently a member of the PSC, a position he assumed in January 2025.
• He previously served as the founding Director-General of the NTSA and as Registrar of Motor Vehicles at the Ministry of Transport.
• His nomination follows the exit of Ambassador Anthony Muchiri, who served until late 2025.
