Buuri MP Mugambi Rindikiri was involved in a road accident on Thursday morning along the Nanyuki–Meru highway while en route to a NYOTA Fund event in Meru County with President William Ruto. He is reported to be in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries and proceeded with his schedule.

The accident occurred near Siraji area in Timau and also involved another vehicle carrying Catholic nuns.
All occupants of both vehicles escaped without serious injuries.
