A youth group association and human rights lobby in Nakuru County have petitioned the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to take action against Nakuru West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama. They allege that on January 16, 2026, MP Arama made divisive remarks likely to incite ethnic animosity during a bursary cheque issuance.

• The petition, presented by a group led by Kennedy Langat, claims MP Arama inquired about beneficiaries' communities and accused some members of a certain community of troubling him.
• The group stated that Arama's remarks, captured on video, were "inciteful, discriminatory, and demeaning" and implied certain communities do not deserve development or assistance.
• The petition requests the NCIC to summon MP Arama, investigate his comments against the Cohesion and Integration Act, and take legal or administrative action if a breach of law is found.
