Flutterwave has launched stablecoin balances for its merchants and users across Africa, enabling businesses to transact in stablecoins like USDC and USDT directly within their existing Flutterwave accounts. This initiative is a partnership with blockchain infrastructure provider Turnkey and Nuvion, an AI-powered global banking and payments platform.

• The new feature allows African merchants to receive, hold, and move value using stablecoins with fewer delays and lower fees, bypassing traditional banking hours.

• The embedded wallet experience is powered by Turnkey's verifiable wallet infrastructure and Nuvion's global payments stack, which bridges fiat and stablecoin systems seamlessly.
• The initial phase will support transactions in USDC, USDT, USD, and NGN, starting with a select group of merchants before a broader rollout.
