This comes after Matiang'i recently criticized the current government's handling of education.

• Cheruiyot claims the previous administration under Matiang’i planned the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) without adequate infrastructure or proper planning for student placement.
• The Kenya Kwanza administration has, according to Cheruiyot, recruited 100,000 teachers in less than three years and constructed 24,000 classrooms.
• Cheruiyot stated the government has allocated Sh700 billion to the education sector.
